Brutalism in Black and Grey
This project is heavily inspired by brutalist architecture and harsh lines, as shown by the structure of the denim pants, with metal details. In order to show the beauty of the lines through juxtaposition, the top is a bias chiffon dress, kept sophisticated through the color palette of only black and grey.
Frozen Water Puffer
Inspired by the visual project “Frozen Water” with elements of the white rabbits and blue water, this oversized puffer envelops the wearer in a warm embrace. The jacket has convertible shawl collar with snap closure, a white faux fur facing, and rib-knit cuff details. It also has a high-low hem in order to protect the wearer and provide extra warmth.
Deconstructive Fusion
The focus of this project is deconstructing and recycling old worn denim and fusing it with wool roving using needle felting in order to create a brand new textile. This new yarn was then crocheted into a new interpretation of a what sweater could be, keeping the deconstructive theme, and paired with the exaggerated silhouette of oversized pants to provide contrast between the solid and the dissolving.
